No he is great but he doesn't pull real hard. Just as I suspected someone started heading steers on him he leaves the box great .he has the potential to make a good head horse. He is so sweet .we Carry flags on him , and he works good in the pasture. But when it comes to the heavy bulls he just doesn't want to ..R.FENN

Things are going fine. We have 2 QH mares and one paint mare in foal to toffee. In June we carried our 2yr old paint stallion to the pinto world show . He won the class. There was 16 in the class. He is our 2nd Pinto world champion . We are going to try to carry him to the paint world in Nov. Doc has been riding Toffee some we have not pushed him. Our trainer had him for 30 days and liked him . But we wanted to get the mares bred. Planned on send him back in a few months. I'm still planning on getting his pinto papers . I will try to get some pics for you .

Ginger is doing great, we were out riding yesterday and my son is just so happy the way that she has been. He will run her in poles next weekend at our church's Family Fun night and he is really looking forward to next weekend. We have two new colts that we bought, one is eight months and one is seven months old and Ginger has really taken to and mothers one of them. My son has made the decision to breed her to a stud horse this coming spring. He feeds about fifty horses for one of the older vets here in Gardendale. The stud horse has a really good blood line and we are sure that they will make a good foal together.

Have a Happy Holidays and try and stay warm.

DEAR MISTEE,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR MAIL.

EVERYTHING IS OK WITH US. SALLY LOOKS LIKE SHE LOVES THE NEW HOME. FOR SOME DAYS SHE WAS

LOOKING AROUND, LOOKING FOR THE OLD FRIENDS, BUT NOW SHE IS LIKE A DOG: SHE STAYS AROUND,

EATING AND PLAYING. WE RODE HER 4/5 TIME AND SHE IS VERY QUIET AND GENTLE. WE DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH HER AND WE REALLY LOVE HER.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH AGAIN...........

Broodmares

We have been riding as much as we can around the horrible weather. She loves her and they are matched up perfectly. We have had them out , down the road, in the snow, through water, in the pasture, on the trail, loading, unloading, with blanket, without, stalled.

>> The only glitch is I think maybe we got the wrong coggins, maybe for a horse named Domino?? She just told me, and is bringing the papers back with her tomorrow. But I will need hers before she ships to LA.

>> Take a look at Guthrie Park near Glendale, and the LA area, thats where she will be riding. She lives just one mile from there.

Mistee,

Sassy is doing great. She has the job of taking care of young riders and she does it well. We have thoroughly enjoyed her so far. I think she is enjoying herself as well. She gets sun screen in the summer when she is turned out, blanketed in the winter, grain twice a day and alfalfa twice a day. The only issue is that mare is fat. We have cut her back but are still having a hard time getting the weight off of her. We are about to chalk it up as she is a big bodied mare. We had to have a tent maker come out and make her winter blanket (just kidding).

If your girls would like to come out and see her just let us know.I hope you guys have a Merry Christmas and we look forward to hearing from you

THE SHEPPARD FAMILY

HANNA~6-14-10...Hi, Hannah is doing great, my 7 year old grandson is riding her now exclusively pretty much. He loves her. He was kind of scared of her last year but has built up his confidence over the last few months and now we can't get him off..lol. I will try to take a picture of her or have my daughter take one and send it to you. She has been a real jewel!!
